52M charter motor yacht looking for a full time , motivated, hard working Bosun/2nd officer.
this is a VERY busy, dual season charter yacht. Time off during charter season is limited as we have several back to back charters.
Winter: based in WPB, charters in Caribbean and Bahamas
Summer: charters in the Med. (10 last summer and bookings already confirmed for 2025)
- At least 1 or 2 years experience as bosun on similar size vessels. This position is NOT suited for a first timer.
- Must have experience and skills with painting, fairing, varnish as we do a lot in house.
- Must have experience as Watchleader and be comfortable with Colregs as you will have your bridge watch with a look-out.
- OOW CoC is not mandatory but close to achieving it is preferred. (minimum NAv&Radar module).
- Must have experience driving large tenders and single screw tenders.
- Must be comfortable with guest interactions, polite and well mannered.
- Watersport knowledge and experience (wakeboard, water-ski, towing toys, E-foils,...) is preferred
Position is mostly on deck but captain and officer take pride in training crew for their future positions. you will receive training at the helm, and maneuvering.
Duties also involve assisting Chief officer with paperwork, logs, PMS, ISM. (Extended Knowledge not essential as you will be trained and taught as well if needed).
Therefore we also expect the bosun to share knowledge and skills with junior decks.
Essentially, this program is demanding (hard work, long seasons) but also rewarding (tips, experience, sea time, helm time,...)
