Role: Estate Maintenance Caretaker
Working Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm (flexibility required during the summer months and when the client is in residence)
Location: Private UHNW estate in Surrey
Salary: £32,000 gross per annum
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an Estate Maintenance Caretaker for our client, a 6-star private estate in Surrey. You will join a small engineering team, including a Chief Engineer, an Estate Engineer, an Estate Maintenance Technician, and a Painter and Decorator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, including:
- Repairs to doors, windows, and general installations.
- Basic plumbing and electrical work, such as fixing leaks and changing bulbs.
- Supervise contractors for larger repair projects.
- Carry out cleaning duties and maintain pools and water features.
- Organise external furniture and play equipment.
- Maintain the estate's appearance, including debris removal and pressure washing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance and general DIY.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physically capable of lifting and manual labour.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; positive, can-do attitude.
- UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to other sites as needed.
- Flexible and willing to assist with tasks outside of the job description.
Contract Terms:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per year, with no entitlement to public holidays.
