EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR A PRIVATE CHATEAU NEAR ST TROPEZ Location: St Tropez, South of France Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: €40,000 - €47,000 net per annum, negotiable Status: Live-out An amazing opportunity awaits an experienced Housekeeper with a lovely family in their spectacular secondary residence on the outskirts of St Tropez. Working in a fully staffed private household, you will be entrusted with the care and upkeep of the newly renovated home. This position offers a chance to work in a team alongside another housekeeper, ensuring that this 8-bedroom home is maintained to the highest standard year-round. With an excellent eye for detail, you will have good knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine furnishings, materials and fabrics. Energetic and flexible in your approach, you will be responsible, reliable and consistent in your day-to-day tasks. You will be responsible for general housekeeping, laundry and ironing, occasional light cooking for the family, food and beverage service and laying and clearing of the table. Other responsibilities will include grocery shopping, errand running and liaising with the rest of the staff, such as the gardener, cleaner and any external contractors, ensuring the smooth running of the property. The ideal candidate will be attentive, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive attitude whilst still remaining discreet and boundaried, offering an unobtrusive service. Having a full EU driving license is essential for this role. Working 40 hours per week, you will manage your time effectively to ensure the home is always well maintained and spotless – flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is imperative for this role. DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • Professional cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms • Exclusive laundry care (silk, cashmere, etc.) • Grocery shopping and errand running such as arranging dry cleaning, going to the post office etc. • Laying and clearing tables, providing table service when required • Breakfast preparation and light cooking for the family • Supervision and coordination of tradesmen ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: • Professional experience and longevity as a housekeeper in an UHNW private household • Excellent knowledge of cleaning products and caring for high-end furnishings and surfaces • Independent and proactive way of working • Discreet, boundaried and unobtrusive • Fluency in English and/or German • Cooking skills are desirable (breakfast and light meals) • Willingness to work on weekends and during the holiday season • Right to live and work in the EU & full EU driving license • Excellent, checkable references from previous employers
