YACHT CHEF
40+m MOTOR YACHT WITH EUROPEAN TRAVEL
Essential requirements: Previous private house or yacht experience, fluent in English, knowledge of diabetic menus and ingredients, STCW and onboard food hygiene certificate.
An exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to work for a private family based onboard a magnificent 40+m motor yacht and travelling between the properties based in Monaco, Switzerland and the UK. The Principals like all types of cuisines and are willing to try various foods within their dietary requirements. Organisation and excellent preparation skills are extremely important as each transition period should be seamless. Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for healthy cuisine and proficiency in preparing meals following a diabetic diet is essential. You should possess a positive and easy-going attitude and the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Sourcing of all ingredients for meals, often without using an all-round supplier.
Preparation of menu plans to be discussed and approved by the principal or the permanent chef.
Daily preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2-8 guests.
Daily preparation of lunch and dinner for 9 crew.
Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the galley and food storage areas on a daily basis.
Accounting on spreadsheets which will be provided to the Captain at the end of every working period.
Start Date ASAP. Negotiable salary depending on experience, MLC yacht contract and insurance provided.
