Position Summary- The Residence Support role ensures the maintenance, cleaning and presentation of the primary residence and other assets, that they always meet expectations. The role also supports food and beverage services, with a variety of additional tasks that may be completed at the request of the family.
Your Responsibilities
Work with the principle and wider family and respond to their requests, as and when they arise
• Communicate with residents and guests, always representing the family in a professional manner
• Provide personal support for occasional travel, both interstate and internationally as well as service support on family yachts
• Engage with a wider team and provide ad hoc administrative support
• Provide oversight and occasional support for some other family residents/assets
• Confidently carry out service for dinner parties, functions as well as daily meals
• Confidently provide drink service, including wine knowledge and cocktail making
• Assist in preparing basic meals and snacks
• Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, ironing, washing, dusting, and polishing
• Ensuring all areas are cared for and inspected with a high level of attention to detail
• Interact with multiple departments, primarily around property maintenance and service support
• Report damage or areas requiring special attention
• Have an awareness of correct use of cleaning products
• Adhere to commonly accepted health and safety practices, for a private residence
• Care for domestic animals
• Provide discretion and a willingness to assist to complete additional tasks
Skills & Experience
• Working as a steward/stewardess on yachts, jets or in private residences
• Cleaning, housekeeping, and service duties
• Be a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and with a wider, remote team
• Working with domestic animals
• Food preparation / light cooking experience
• A motivated individual with good initiative and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve success
The family travel often to other interstate residences and there will sometimes be weeks/months of non-occupancy.
The House Coordinator/Domestic Support will also work with a broader interstate team and will occasionally fly interstate for great collaboration.
Core days are Monday to Friday but will fluctuate when the family are in residence, assisting with occasional evening dinners or weekend events (days in lieu for weekend work) roughly 7.5 hours / day
