CHIEF OFFICER 3000 (English first language)
Vessel: 42m MY
Start date: 8th December
Location: USA
Contract: Permanent
Holidays: 38/42 days
Salary: $7,000 - $8,000 DOE
13th month bonus at owners discretion
B1B2 a MUST
This vessel is currently looking for a Chief Officer with an OOW minimum or Chief Mate ticket. Definitely a non smoker and definitely needs B1B2 visa in hand. Practical, friendly but able to command respect through demonstrable abilities in all aspects of deck work and tender driving as well as being able to run mini ISM and full ECDIS bridge work. The Captain is looking for a more mature Officer who is not afraid of hard work and who tends not to complain about small things. The pay on offer is up to 8,000 USD for someone who can do the job to the highest professional levels expected. 38/42 days leave and DYT time off on top. There is a nice crew in place and the majority have been onboard for 2 years in counting, so they are looking for a stayer ideally rather than someone who likes to hop around.
The vessel will be heading for Genoa for the DYT, then Lauderdale Bahia Mar marina for a week to do annual surveys for Cayman and Lloyds, then off to Lyford Cay, possibly Barbados for scientific research use, then Galapagos for April and possibly Alaska after that but not confirmed. If it's not Alaska, the boat may be painted in the States.
The passage to USA is going to be 20 days as the DYT ship is 'running in', so the proper start date would be in USA around the end of the first week in December.
