We are seeking an exceptional full-time Housekeeper with a brilliant eye for detail to join a staffed UHNW household in Alt-Bogenhausen, Munich. Working alongside two other full-time housekeepers and a cleaner, you will be a strong team player with good communication skills, and will report to the house manager.
The family’s primary residence, this large home has recently been refurbished to the highest specification, so it’s imperative that you have excellent knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine furnishings, materials and fabrics. Responsible for general housekeeping, laundry and ironing, you should also be able to prepare breakfast, light meals and occasional dinners for the family of four and will be responsible for laying and clearing the table.
Other responsibilities will include grocery shopping, errand running and liaising with external service providers where needed to contribute to the smooth running of the property - having a full EU driving license is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be attentive, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive attitude whilst still remaining discreet and boundaried, offering an unobtrusive service. Demonstrated longevity in previous roles are highly desired for this role.
Working 40 hours per week, the role will generally be Monday to Friday, but you will be required to work 1-2 weekends per month, with days in lieu the next week. Should the candidate need to relocate for this opportunity, the family is willing to assist in finding suitable accommodation for the housekeeper near their home and will cover the first 3 months rental costs.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Professional cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
· Exclusive laundry care (silk, cashmere, etc.)
· Cleaning and polishing mirrors, glass, stone, marble and other delicate surfaces
· Grocery shopping and errand running, arranging dry cleaning, going to the post office etc.
· Laying and clearing tables, providing table service when required
· Breakfast and light lunch/dinner preparation for the family when required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior experience working in UHNW properties or onboard superyachts
· Excellent knowledge of cleaning products and caring for high-end furnishings and surfaces
· Independent and proactive way of working, yet a positive team player
· Discreet, boundaried and unobtrusive
· Fluency in English and/or German desired
· Comfortable in the kitchen and able to prepare breakfast/light meals as needed
· Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as needed
· Right to live and work in the EU
· Full EU driving license
· Excellent, checkable references from previous employers
