Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deckhand Dive Instructor to join our team on a luxurious 50+-meter charter yacht. The ideal candidate will possess strong seamanship skills and a passion for diving, coupled with excellent customer service abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Captain and crew with daily operations and maintenance of the yacht.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests during all diving activities.
- Conduct dive briefings and instruct guests on dive procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain diving equipment and ensure it is in excellent working condition.
- Organize and lead guided dives, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
- Assist with general deck duties, including cleaning, polishing, and maintaining the yacht’s exterior.
- Support in the management of water sports and other recreational activities.
Qualifications
Essential Licenses and Certifications
- STCW Basic Safety Training: (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping)
- ENG1 Medical Certificate: (Seafarer Medical Certificate)
- Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent: (RYA or similar certification)
- PADI Dive Instructor Certification (or equivalent recognized certification)
- First Aid and CPR Certification: Current and valid
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working on a luxury yacht or in the marine industry.
- Experience in a similar role as a deckhand and dive instructor.
- Knowledge of yacht maintenance and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
