Summary

Position: Chief Engineer (Rotational 2:2)

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Chief Engineer for a 43-meter vessel based in West Palm Beach, currently undergoing an extensive shipyard period. Built in 2002, the vessel requires a hands-on professional who excels in project management, problem-solving, and innovation.

This is a unique opportunity for someone ready to commit to bringing the yacht back to high operational standards, working within a tight budget, and overcoming the challenges of an older vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and executing necessary repairs and upgrades during the shipyard period.
  • Innovating and implementing solutions to bring the yacht up to standard.
  • Managing projects and budgets effectively to meet the vessel\'s needs.
  • Preparing the yacht for potential trips, including a planned Bahamas/Caribbean voyage in December.

Requirements:

  • A go-getter attitude with a proven ability to manage and execute complex projects.
  • An open-minded approach to working on an older vessel with unique challenges.
  • Strong commitment to restoring the vessel to operational readiness.
  • Availability to join within the next two weeks (flexible start date possible).

Additional Information:

The yacht has been primarily docked and listed for sale but is transitioning back to active service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a project-driven environment and is eager to leave a lasting impact.

Compensation:

Salary DOE. Candidates are requested to include salary expectations and a brief outline in their cover letter detailing how they would approach and excel in bringing this vessel back to life.
