Seeking a Lead Engineer for a land based rotational position in the Bahamas.
6 weeks on/off. Private Island. This could be the perfect role for someone transitioning out of yachting and is wanting to be shoreside.

This is a 95% hands-on role, where practical engineering knowledge is essential. Candidate will be overseeing the scheduled maintenance and repairs on all buildings and facilities including generating plant, reverse-osmosis plant, heavy machinery, fleet of watercraft and toys, fleet of golf carts, HVAC in buildings, pool and sauna facilities.
The position would suit a self-starter with a sober, mature temperament, that is organized and able to work well within a team and oversee temporary contractors at times. They must be confident keeping inventories of the warehouse and following the IDEA planned maintenance system.
Must have a sound practical knowledge of:
- Generator Plant maintenance (600/400v step down to 209 /110)
- Bunkering operations
- High voltage Electrical
- Domestic Electrical
- A good grasp of AV/IT (PABX, WAP, Crestron)
- HVAC and refrigeration
- Auto electrical
- Hydraulics
- Heavy machinery operation, maintenance and servicing
- Small engine, marine outboards, trailer maintenance
- Stock and inventory control.
- Experience operating heavy machinery and watercraft a bonus.
