Summary

Position: 3rd CHEF - Female due to cabin arrangements

Yacht:  90m Private/ Charter Motor Yacht

Location: Europe 

Itinerary: Spring Caribbean and Alaska for the winter. Subject to change. Always an interesting itinerary. 

Licence Required: A cookery certificate. Ship's Cook Certificate.

To have the following qualifications or experience (sea service testimonials are needed in all cases):

a. Level 2 cookery qualification (e.g. City and Guilds, etc.) and 1 month’s sea service as a cook OR

b. One year’s cooking experience in a shoreside kitchen plus 1 months sea service as a cook OR

c. One year’s sea service as a ships cook (on a private or smaller yacht) OR

d. Fishing Cook Certificate and at least 1 months sea service.

Requirements: 

STCW + Refresher as needed

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

Ship's Cook Certificate

Food hygiene certificate.

Designated Security Awareness

VISA:  B1B2 visa *if you do not have a visa - the employer will provide documentation for you to obtain one. The expenses to do so will be your responsibility.

Schengen if needed

Passport. (valid minimum 1 year) 

Some experience on yachts is preferred, but a strong restaurant background and some cookery training is also acceptable with one month on yachts. Must have a happy disposition, keen to work as a team, passionate about cooking/learning, comfortable with allergies and keen to look after the crew.

Preferences for non smokers, no tattoos (or discreet) ideally. 

Responsibilities: Assistant chef, Galley Assistant- capable of being in dish wash area - organized, fast learner, takes directions well, appreciates feedback for improvements, helping to provision, preparing meals, cleaning galley.

Female Candidates- shared cabin with 1 female crew member  

Job Specifics: 3rd Chef / Assisting in galley.  

The vessel has a Head Chef and a Sous Chef 

Salary: in Euros DOE
