Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bosun to join our exceptional team onboard a 70m+ motor yacht. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deck operations and maintenance, with excellent leadership and organizational skills. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on position, enjoys mentoring junior crew, and has a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, including managing watersports and off-the-beaten-path activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily deck operations, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Maintain all exterior areas of the yacht, including deck equipment, teak, and paintwork.
- Plan and execute deck maintenance schedules, including PMS (Planned Maintenance Systems).
- Lead the deck team during operations such as mooring, anchoring, tender driving, and watersports activities.
- Assist with guest activities, including watersports, fishing, and excursions to unique destinations.
- Train and mentor junior deckhands to build a cohesive and capable deck team.
- Ensure all safety equipment is operational and assist with emergency drills and ISM/ISPS requirements.
- Maintain tenders and toys.
- Work closely with the Chief Officer to support the smooth running of the vessel.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Yachtmaster Offshore or equivalent certification.
- STCW Basic Safety Training (including recent updates).
- Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
- Proven experience in a Bosun or Lead Deckhand position on yachts 50m+.
- Strong tender driving skills, including experience with guest transfers and watersports setups.
- Excellent knowledge of deck maintenance, repair, and products.
- A high level of proficiency in watersports activities, such as wakeboarding or diving,
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire junior crew.
- A proactive and hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.

- Additional qualifications (e.g., PWC Instructor, PADI Dive Instructor, or similar).
- Experience with off-the-beaten-path itineraries and adventure cruising.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
