TYS Recruitment is looking for a Fort-Lauderdale based deckhand to join an 86 foot private Motor Yacht.

· Certification: USCG Six Pack License
· Experience: 1 – 3 year’s experience
· Visas: US Passport or Greencard

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and looking to enjoy long-term growth and longevity to join a team of 3 onboard. The ideal candidate is someone is able to clean and maintain the deck together with the captain, and will have their own accommodation and transportation to the boat which is docked behind the owner’s house in Fort Lauderdale. The owners are currently building a larger vessel, and like to ensure that there is a relaxed, low-stress vibe onboard.
The immediate itinerary consists of local Florida cruising with occasional trips to the Bahamas. Between May to November 2025 the vessel will cruise further to Sag Harbor and N.E USA. During these periods, accommodation will be provided on board in a shared cabin.
There is an experienced Captain onboard who has built a relationship with great owners. As this is a non-charter boat with a. more relaxed atmosphere, there tends to be more downtime than usual onboard.
