Summary

• 100m+ Exciting New build Yacht are looking for an experienced 2^nd officer to join them in April 2025

• This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established fleet working alongside incredible Captains and owner

• They are looking for an experienced 2^nd officer that has come through the ranks and holds OOW/Chief Mate Unlimited – open to both yachting and commercial backgrounds, however you must have some yachting experience if coming from commercial. Unfortunately, this is not open to only commercial experience candidates looking to transition into yachting.

• Your role will be varied with lots of initial set up of systems onboard initially along with overseeing the safety officer duties. Experience with Kongsberg navigation systems would be very advantageous!

• The yacht is due for launch early 2026 with long term plans to be World cruising after initial shakedown seasons

• The yacht will be highly operational upon launch and operate a busy itinerary. You will need to be hands on, motivated and confident with leading deck operations during busy trips

• Initially you will be on a full time build contract which does offer flexibility of working from the shipyard and structured working from home. Own accommodation ashore close to the yard, flexibility to bring partners out to stay with you and flexibility to fly home at weekends etc. You must be EU based for ease of travel to and from the yacht. The position will go fully rotational upon launch. Full package including salary will be discussed during initial calls. 

Essential Qualifications

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
