Summary
HMG is looking for a rotational Chief Engineer for a 45m+ motor yacht. Y3 level or above CoC.
Commencing on 24th February, the role will suit an experienced Aussie or Kiwi Chief Engineer or someone located in the Southern Hemisphere.
The rotation is time for time, aiming for 2:2 with some flexibility required, depending on the Yachts movements.
Shared Cabin, all flights and standard MLC contract on offer.
The vessel is purely private yacht with live aboard Owners, with no chartering. She is a true world cruiser with planned itinerary through to 2028. They are halfway through a 6-year global cruise.
Base Salary is at $9000 USD x 12. Further package details discussed with shortlisted candidates.
At least two years’ experience in a similar role with a great attitude and demonstratable safety record, verifiable and solid references required.
Diving Qualifications are favourable as well, the Yacht spends a lot of time in dive areas and plans to do much more throughout the South Pacific.
Owners like to involve crew in excursions and dive trips, although a busy program, there is a lot of fun to be had as well.
Captains ideally would like a hardworking and positive individual who knows the value of teamwork and positive outlooks. This is a hands-on role; the yacht visits some very remote areas so the Chief will need to have a very broad range of skills and knowledge. Healthy budget is in place with a good inventory of spares on board. Excellent support from the Captains with planned shipyard period in Australia for the end of the year for a Special Survey.
Start date of 24th Feb 2024 for a full and thorough handover with the departing Chief.
