Summary
We are a private/charter world-cruising M/Y seeking an experienced, strong 2nd Stewardess to join our close-knit crew.
*Position Overview:*
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Stewardess to guide and train the junior stews. The Chief Stew has been onboard for 3 years.
The 2nd Stewardess will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations alongside her. This position offers a great amount of responsibility, with the potential to cover the Chief Stew’s role during her absence.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility but not yet ready for a Chief Stewardess role. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in handling service, late shifts, guest requests, and managing tasks and projects delegated by the Chief Stew.
*Crew Overview:*
- Crew Size: 19 crew members onboard at any given time.
- Interior Team: 7 crew members (6 onboard at a time due to rotation), fostering a strong team dynamic and long-term collaboration.
- Crew Culture: Our team is close-knit and enjoys socializing during excursions and crew events. We’re looking for someone who thrives in this collaborative environment.
*Duties:*
- Working closely with the Chief Stew, overseeing standards and ensuring the team is meeting the set standards.
- Running the day-to-day job list and leading the daily meetings.
- During ‘boss off’ mode, the interior team rotates through various areas (crew, bridge, laundry) for skill development and variety.
- The owners are typically onboard for 1-3 weeks, with trips spread out.
*Package:*
- Start Date: ASAP
- Leave: 60 days per year with flexibility for off dates.
- Travel: 2 return flights per year to your repatriation address.
- Medical Insurance: Provided.
- Salary: $4500-$5000/month.
*Requirements:*
- Gender: Female due to cabin arrangements.
- Experience: Previous experience as a 2nd Stewardess on a similar-sized vessel is essential (with at least 3-4 years in the industry).
- Leadership & Management: Must have experience leading a team and maintaining a positive, effective leadership approach.
- World Travel: Comfortable with a world-traveling vessel and no permanent home berth.
- Pre-Season Preparation: Ability to assist with vessel set-up after a major shipyard period.
