TYS Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Charter Broker to join a prestigious yacht brokerage firm in Beverly Hills, California.

Qualifications and Skills: The successful candidate will bring 1-2 years minimum experience as a Charter Broker or Trainee Charter Broker, complemented by a proven track record in luxury sales or HNWI client relations. Excellence in written and verbal communication is essential, along with strong negotiation and closing skills. You must demonstrate proficiency in yacht charter processes and contracts, with first-hand yachting experience being advantageous, though not required. The role demands flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, combined with strong networking abilities and professional presentation. You should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A thorough knowledge of luxury travel and lifestyle sectors will be crucial for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Client Relations & Sales:
- Develop and maintain an extensive client portfolio of HNWI charter clients
- Handle multiple charter inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Execute sales processes from initial contact through to closing
- Meet and exceed established sales targets
- Resolve client concerns in a pressured environment
Market Knowledge & Expertise:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the global charter fleet
- Stay current with market trends and luxury lifestyle developments
- Provide expert guidance on charter destinations and itineraries
- Conduct yacht inspections and attend yacht shows as required
- Network within the industry to build strong relationships
Charter Management:
- Negotiate charter contracts and terms
- Oversee charter documentation and compliance
- Coordinate with captains, crew, and management companies
- Manage client expectations and special requests
- Handle post-charter follow-up and feedback
Business Development:
- Actively participate in industry events and boat shows
- Build and maintain relationships with yacht owners and managers
- Develop marketing strategies to attract new clients
- Contribute to team goals and company growth initiatives
- Travel extensively to meet clients and inspect vessels
