Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Temp Eng for a 50m yacht
We are seeking a Temporary Engineer to assist in the transatlantic crossing of a 50m Benetti, launched a few months ago, from Antigua to Livorno at the end of February. This position will be for 20-30 days and includes a return flight after the crossing.
Responsibilities
· Assist the Chief Engineer and Deck Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the yacht\'s systems during the crossing.
· Monitor and maintain the main propulsion plant and associated auxiliaries to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.
· Troubleshoot and address any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise during the voyage.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and any incidents.
Requirement
· Experience: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, with a sensible and logical approach to problem-solving. Prior experience in a support engineering role on similar vessels is preferred.
· Qualifications: Possession of a Y4 Certificate of Competency or an Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) Certificate.
· Visa Requirements: Must possess the necessary visa or authorization to enter the European Union.
