JMS Careers are currently looking for a Relief Captain/Stew/Chef Couple to join a:
- 32m Private SY
- Couples position
- Yacht Master Offshore/ Ocean required
- Permanent Position
- 42 days leave per year and industry standard salary on offer DOE, paid in USD
- Previous captain experience on 20m+ SY required
- Dual season programme
- The vessel is currently located in the Mediterranean so candidates located there take preference
- Start date around March time, this is flexible!
- Dive qualifications are a big bonus as crew often dive with the owners!
This position involves acting as Relief Captain onboard working closely with the current captain who has been on board for a long time with the programme and owners and is now transitioning to part time/ overall vessel management. The role will involve operating as mate when the current captain is on board for trips but act as relief captain otherwise. The role will involve planning, ownership of deck operations and safety. The candidate must have previous experience with mini ISM, in boom furling experience is preferred but not necessary. This position would suit someone that has captained smaller vessels looking for a step up to a lager vessel. The candidate must have several years longevity in captains roles. This role is only open to Captain/Stew or Captain/Chef teams with proven longevity working together.
