Requirements:
- STCW + Refresher
- ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+)
- Passport - valid 1 year+ minimum
- Charter experience
Solid navigational experience
Good knowledge of engineering maintenance - warranty work, budgeting, parts inventory, etc.
Reliable, honest and hands on
Nice outgoing personality
Good crew retention and management
Background check and drug testing may apply.
Responsibilities: Captain and Engineer, safety, trip planning, provisioning, exterior maintenance. Good crew motivator and manager.
Job Specifics: Running and maintaining a fun and safe program as Captain.
In a captain: Charter experience in the Bahamas. MUST be proactive and hands on. Manage a budget and the books. Easy going personality and flexible to be able to multi task as necessary. Very important to have good communications.
Usage: Private use with friends and family and charter. This can be discussed during an interview.
Vessel description: Sleeps 8 -10 guests, crews’ accommodations have 3 cabins. (1 Captain with head and 2 x bunks with head as well as crew area).
Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience - Good in USD + charter tips.
Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
Commercial Registered Yacht: no private under 500gt
