2nd Officer in Italy

Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced 2nd Officer to join a 80m private M/Y with a busy itinerary. Ideal for candidate who is looking for a lot of sea time and navigation experience.

Responsibilities:

               •            Assist the Chief Officer in deck operations and bridge duties

               •            Maintain and update navigational charts and equipment (ECDIS &paper charts)

               •            Oversee ISM/ISPS compliance and safety drills

               •            Supervise and train deck crew as needed

               •            Stand navigational watches and ensure safe passage planning

               •            Assist with guest operations and water sports when required

               •            Maintain safety equipment (firefighting, LSA & Lifting Appliances)

Requirements:

               •            OOW (Yachts)

               •            STCW (Valid & Updated) + ENG1 Medical

               •            Proficiency with ECDIS and paper chart corrections

               •            Experience on 50m+ yachts preferred

               •            Strong leadership and mentoring skills

               •            Hands-on deck and tender driving experience

Preferred Qualifications:

               •            PWC Instructor / Diving Certificates / Additional Water Sports Skills

               •            Experience with charter operations

               •            Solid knowledge of ISPS & ISM procedures

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• Drivers License
• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Officer of the Watch <3000gt

RYA/MCA Deck Modules (OR Short Courses & equivalent)

• PYA/MCA Training Record Book
• Navigation & Radar (OOW Yachts)

RYA Qualifications

• RYA Powerboat Level 2
