Summary
SY Whirlwind
- Cook/Stew/Deck -
Intro
The vessel is a 103’ performance cutter rigged sloop, from a renowned shipyard, built in 1986. She is a fast, safe and extremely comfortable passage maker, having proved this with two circumnavigations and numerous offshore passages. A general guide to the programme is yet to be finalised but Whirlwind will be based in the Mediterranean during the next summer season before cruising through the Caribbean, Alaska etc en route to her home port in New Zealand. While refit work will be undertaken during the off seasons, a busy cruising programme will be undertaken during the appropriate seasons both within NZ coastal waters and offshore.
The owners are hands on but will run an additional crew of three, to manage the yacht, and host close friends and family aboard periodically. Preference will be given to a well experienced and qualified deck/stew who is upskilling in the culinary field to enable work as cook/stew. The chosen individual will be hardworking and self driven, honest, trustworthy, fun and be well presented.
Whirlwind has three double state rooms and two crew cabins, all with en-suites to be managed along with providing meals for five the majority of time and with up to an additional four or five guests periodically.
