1st Mate – 50m Private M/Y

Döhle Yacht Crew are seeking a dedicated 1st Mate to join a 50m private yacht that will be cruising the Caribbean and East Coast USA.

Responsibilities include assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, overseeing the deck team and ensuring all deck operations are carried out smoothly and assisting with navigation and watchkeeping duties. This would be a good position for an experienced Bosun looking to step up. Permanent position.

Must hold a valid a B1/B2 visa and have experience working on similar sized vessels. Yachtmaster qualification is essential, and having an OOW would be ideal.

Salary: USD 6000

Leave: 6 weeks

Start Date: 1st week of March

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
