We are seeking a Sole Engineer for a 30m private expedition vessel currently in Europe, soon to be shipped to the USA. The yacht operates with a crew of four and undertakes extensive global cruising. Owners use the vessel for approximately four months annually, allowing for proactive maintenance and upkeep during off periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all engineering operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Managing the vessel\\\'s mechanical, electrical, and technical systems
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules
  • Coordinating with external contractors when necessary

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds relevant engineering qualifications (AEC, MEOL, Y4/Y3, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Sole Engineer on a similar-sized yacht or as a 2nd Engineer on a larger vessel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Hands-on and proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
  • Flexibility and adaptability for a world-traveling itinerary
