Summary

Experienced 2nd Stewardess – Private/Charter World-Cruising M/Y - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NON ROTATIONAL POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and capable 2nd Stewardess to join our dynamic and close-knit crew aboard a world-traveling private/charter motor yacht. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to take on additional responsibilities while working closely with an established Chief Stewardess.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Chief Stewardess, who has been with the vessel for three years, to oversee and support the interior team. This position comes with significant responsibility, including the opportunity to step into the Chief Stewardess role when required.

Ideal for someone eager to expand their leadership experience, this role requires confidence in service, guest interactions, and operational management. The 2nd Stewardess will assist in training junior stews, managing daily tasks, and ensuring high service standards are maintained.

Crew & Interior Team

  • Total Crew: 19
  • Interior Team: 7 (6 on board at a time due to a rotational system)
  • Crew Culture: A collaborative and sociable environment with a strong team dynamic, fostering long-term crew relationships and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Managing daily job lists and leading team meetings.
  • Rotational experience in crew, bridge, and laundry operations during guest-off periods for skill development.
  • Assisting with vessel setup following a major shipyard period.
  • Providing exceptional guest service, handling late shifts, and accommodating requests professionally.
  • Supporting and training junior stews under the Chief Stewardess’s guidance.

Itinerary & Operations

  • The vessel accommodates owners onboard for 1-3 weeks at a time, with trips scheduled throughout the year.
  • The yacht is world-traveling, with no permanent home berth.

Package & Benefits

  • Start Date: Mid-late March
  • Leave: 60 days per year (flexible scheduling)
  • Flights: Two return flights per year to the candidate’s repatriation location
  • Medical Insurance: Fully provided
  • Salary: $5,000 per month (possibly with room for negotiation for the right candidate)

Candidate Requirements

  • Gender: Female (due to cabin arrangements)
  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in the yachting industry, with prior experience as a 2nd Stewardess on a similar-sized vessel.
  • Leadership & Management: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to oversee, guide, and motivate a team.
  • Service & Operations: Confident in guest service, late shifts, and managing delegated projects.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with a global cruising itinerary and the flexibility it demands.
  • Longevity and job continuity essential
  • Excellent, verifiable references
  • B1B2 visa
