CHEF POSITION FOR 50M MOTOR YACHT:
Must be in South Florida to be considered.
This is s KOSHER boat. The proper provision standards must be met according to Kosher guidelines. There is a sous chef on board to guide the candidate through the process of provisons and preparation.
The duties of the Head Chef include, but are not limited to:
Oversight and control of inventory for the boat and sometimes the residence.
Oversight of food preparation and guidelines for the style of food the chef wishes to create within the limits of Kosher standards.
Preparation of food within the limits of Kosher standards for the boat.
Mindfulness of cost associated with the preparation of food.
Proper care of the tools in the galley. I.E. Knife sharpening, pots and pans, mixers, blenders etc.
Working directly with the sous chef to learn all the ins and outs of Kosher preparation.
Proper sanitation and cleaning standards.
Communication with outgoing chef to understand the likes and dislikes of the owner of the vessel and residence.
Working with Captain and Chief officer to understand duties outside the realm of culinary operations.
The owner of the vessel is directly involved in the goings on of the galley and food preparation. He is very much hands on and enjoys his visits to the galley.
