License: min. Master 200 GT CE.
Requirements:
- STCW + Refresher as needed
- Medical fit for duty/ ENG 1 (min. 6 months validity)
- Schengen visa or European residence permit.
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Captain with strong leadership skills to take command of a brand-new 26m Azimut, set for delivery in May. This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a team from the ground up, ensuring smooth operations from day one.
About the Role:
- Seasonal Operation: Single-season yacht (4 months), primarily private use with the possibility of 1 month of charter.
- Experienced Owners: The family has previously owned yachts and is eager to embark on new adventures with this vessel.
- Itinerary: Cruising the Mediterranean during the summer, with winters spent in Portugal—the Captain must be comfortable spending extended time there.
- New Build & Warranty: Experience with new builds and managing warranty processes is a significant advantage.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as Captain on similar-sized motor yachts.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of assembling and managing a professional crew.
- Active, energetic, and hands-on with a sporty and health-conscious lifestyle.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience managing a new build and liaising with shipyards for warranty matters is a plus.
- Must have the necessary qualifications and licenses to operate a vessel of this size.
