Summary
Burgess Recruitment is currently seeking a Second Officer for a 65m yacht.
This position is ideal for a motivated, safety-conscious candidate with a strong background in deck operations, as well as solid Bosun experience. We are also open to newly qualified OOWs who have the right attitude and ambition to grow in this role.
Requirements and Responsibilities
· Solid Bosun experience or recently qualified OOW.
· Assist in the management of the deck department and supervise deckhands.
· Support the captain and senior officers in navigational duties.
· Strong work ethic and ability to perform well under pressure.
· Ensure the safety and smooth operation of the vessel.
· Manage all aspects of deck operations while ensuring the highest level of service to guests.
· Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
· Previous experience on yachts over 50m is preferred.
· Strong charter experience
· Shipyard experience
Start Date: End of March
Location: Genoa, Italy
Salary: EUR 5000 + charter tips
Leave: 60 days
Training: Annual training budget of EUR2000
13 month bonus at captains discretion
Vessel and itinerary – Busy summer charter season cruising the Med, followed by shipyard period this winter
Usually a busy dual season private/charter boat.
