Our client, is seeking a skilled Female Chef for a permanent position aboard a 30m expedition style yacht. The role is based in the Mediterranean, specifically around the Italian coast, including Sardinia. The ideal candidate will take charge of the galley, preparing nutritious and well-presented meals for guests and crew alike. You will be responsible for crafting breakfast, lunch, and dinner while creating an exciting meal plan that accommodates diverse dietary needs and preferences. A strong focus on utilizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients is essential. The position requires adaptability and creativity in the kitchen to maintain a vibrant dining experience.
- Culinary background with formal training or significant chef experience in restaurants/yachting. Candidates new to yachting will be considered.
- 1-2 seasons of yacht experience preferred, though open to those new to the industry with relevant experience
- Valid STCW & ENG1 certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a compact galley space
- Strong understanding of menu planning and effective provisioning with local suppliers
- Flexibility and responsiveness to guest needs with an emphasis on wholesome, hearty food
- Easy-going, adaptable, and creative in the kitchen
- Passion for fresh, healthy, and well-balanced cuisine
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain cleanliness in confined spaces
