Summary
DECKHAND 55M M/Y:
We are seeking a highly motivated Deckhand to join a 55m private/light charter yacht cruising Mexico, the Pacific, and Costa Rica. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic crew with an emphasis on water sports, particularly spearfishing and surfing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the yacht’s large tender (they tow a 47ft Freeman).
- Perform general deckhand duties, ensuring smooth operation of the yacht.
- Assist with water sports activities, including spearfishing and surfing during charters and owner trips.
- Be involved in a 4-month shipyard period starting in July for a paint job.
Candidate Requirements:
- 6-12 months experience
- Updated STCW 95 & ENG1
- Large tender driving experience
- Yachtmaster Offshore (preferred, but not essential if strong in other areas such as spearfishing and surfing)
- Spearfishing and surfing experience is a bonus
- Male candidates only due to cabin arrangements
Package:
- Salary: 3,250 - 3,500 Euros (depending on experience)
- Leave: 60 days per year
- Training scheme
