Summary
Junior Stewardess position (primarily housekeeping) on a private/charter, 80m yacht. This is a seasonal position ending at the end of September/ October, but can become permanent after a successful summer season.
The ideal candidate must be well presented, mature, positive, proactive, respectful, a hard worker and be DRAMA FREE (I have a ZERO tolerance for drama on board). We are open to hiring green stewardesses, so long as they have additional skills (yoga teacher, florist, etc.) or excellent land-based service or housekeeping experience. You must have a desire to learn and be willing to take the ample amount of direction you will receive from myself and the 2nd Stewardess (together we have over 35+ years in the industry). This is an excellent opportunity to get a foot in the door and build a great foundation in the yachting industry.
The season could start as early as May, where we hope to have a charter or two, then the owner’s and their large family will come on board for the remainder of the summer. This is an extremely busy program; when the family is on board there are 24+ guests (including 10 amazing grandchildren).
The current crew are a well-established team of mature industry professionals who have worked for the owner’s and captain for many years. We take our jobs seriously, and this is not a party boat. The majority of the crew prefer to exercise after work rather than sit in the pub and drink. That said, we do still enjoy social events and nice meals when time allows. The owner\'s and their family are extremely nice and respectful people; by far the best owner\'s I\'ve had in my 17+ years in the industry. It is important that the prospective candidate fits in with the existing crew.
