Summary

Temp Chief Engineer opportunity aboard 55 m+ Private M/Y 

This temp position is to Cover for a delivery up the East Coast of Australia, and to follow a yard period.

** Priority will be given to candidates who are currently in Australia/New Zealand**

Start Date: March – for approximately 3 months

Itinerary: N/E Queensland

Package: Competitive Salary paid in AUD, inclusive of leave

Experience/Skills required:

·      Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chief on a similar sized yacht

·      Excellent trouble shooting and fault finding skills essential

·      Experience with Caterpillar Engines would be advantageous

·      Must be a hands on and proactive engineer who is knowledgeable in all engineering and maintenance duties aboard

·      Possess the ability to delegate to a 2^nd Engineer with a diplomatic and motivational approach

·      Professional appearance

Qualifications required:

·      STCW Y2 III/2 CoC – OR AMSA Engineer Class 3

·      STCW (fully updated) with PDSD

·      Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with min 6 months’ validity)

·      Covid Vaccinations (at Client’s request)

Non smoker/no visible tattoos

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
