Summary
Role: Travelling Butler
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Gibraltar based with international travel
Working Schedule: 5 working days per week
Start Date: ASAP
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a professional and personable Travelling Butler to support a key client of Achieve Hospitality. Our UHNW Principal has a base in Gibraltar and frequently travels to Dubai, London, and various locations across Europe. This role is best suited to a candidate with experience in luxury chalets or villas, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and understands the nuances of high-level private service.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and intuitive, always anticipating the principal’s needs before they arise - whether that means preparing their favourite drink upon arrival or ensuring seamless transitions between residences. While professionalism is paramount, this is not an overly formal role; the principal values approachability and a warm, personable nature.
This is initially a junior role, perfect for someone transitioning from a seasonal role; so if you're coming from a chalet or villa season, this can be the perfect opportunity to transition into a private household and grow into a head butler role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide seamless butler service across multiple international residences, ensuring the principal’s needs are met at all times.
- Manage packing and unpacking, ensuring all clothing and accessories are impeccably maintained.
- Oversee table service and beverage preparation, with a keen understanding of the principal’s preferences.
- Coordinate with household and hospitality staff in each location to maintain consistency in service.
- Maintain and arrange wardrobe management, including wardrobe rotation and liaising with personal shoppers or tailors.
- Assist with travel logistics, ensuring effortless transitions between properties.
- Run errands and oversee personal requests, from sourcing specific items to restaurant reservations.
- Work closely with security and drivers to ensure the principal’s schedule runs smoothly.
- Handle basic housekeeping tasks when required, ensuring the principal’s immediate environment is pristine and comfortable.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in luxury private households, villas, or chalets.
- Strong understanding of butler service, housekeeping standards, and high-end hospitality.
- Proactive mindset—someone who anticipates rather than reacts.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with a keen eye for detail.
- Professional yet personable; able to build rapport while maintaining boundaries.
- Flexible and adaptable to a fast-moving international lifestyle.
- Must hold a UK or EU passport for ease of travel.
- Full driving licence preferred.
- Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary (DOE).
- All travel, accommodation, and expenses covered while working.
- The opportunity to work in prestigious international locations.
- A dynamic and rewarding role with a long-term career opportunity.
- The chance to become part of a well-run, professional household with high standards but a welcoming atmosphere.
