One of my clients is looking to hire a couple or 2 friends to host their beautiful, newly renovated villa (sleeps 12) this summer (June to Sept; dates negotiable) in Meganisi, a pretty island in the Ionian in Greece, close to Lefkada, Ithaca and Kefalonia.
My clients will be expecting the couple to host their guests to a very high standard and so they MUST have previous experience in similar roles.
Duties to include:
Welcome and generally be genial hosts with local knowledge and recommendations.
Daily clean of bathrooms and beds made, general areas kept spotless and swept.
Linen change mid week
Clean property and change linen / towels for all change overs
Washing and ironing of all linen
Swimming towels laundered and dried as necessary each day
Basic maintenance (sweeping and watering potted plants) - though they have regular pool and garden maintenance in place.
Make breakfast every day.
Make either lunch OR dinner 6 days out of 7, as agreed with the guests.
Offer drinks before dinner.
Do the necessary shopping for meals.
Keep tabs on expenses so that guests can pay for their food.
Liaise with the villa rental agencies.
At least one of the couple will need a driving licence, a car will be provided. Some experience with boats would be even better but not a deal breaker. Being able to help guests moor up a rib or small motor boat at the jetty below the house would be a real bonus.
Accommodation provided in a separate house which is just next to the main house. It has a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed, and the double (super king) bed can be converted into twin beds. There is a good shower room and air con.
Pay: Net £1,000 each per month.
