Rotational Chief Engineers for a 70 meter NEW BUILD S/Y in Holland.
This is an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of an evolving project that will push the boundaries of yacht design and operation as we know it.
We're looking for two motivated and innovative Chief Engineers for a cutting-edge new build sailing yacht which will launch in the Summer of 2025. One engineer will have senior responsibilities to guide the engineering department.
Candidates will only be considered if they have an electrical engineering background. Must have experience as a chief engineer on similar sized sailing yachts. Must have a minimum of a Y3 license or equivalent. Candidates with a Y1/Y2 or equivalent are preferred. A sailing background would be very beneficial.
Essential qualities:
o Y1 or Y2 MCA Chief Engineer certificate is preferable
o Proven experience with the management and maintenance of 700V DC electrical
generation and regeneration, safety and compliance protocols to ensure the smooth
operation of the systems
o Experience with fully electric propulsion systems is desirable
o Knowledge of IT control systems is essential
o Meticulous attention to detail and record keeping
o Team player ethos essential to success
o Calm demeaner under pressure
o Sailing background is beneficial
o Fluency in English is a must
