LAND-BASED Estate Manager - Private Residence (Between Palm Beach & Miami)
Seeking a Superyacht Captain to come ashore & manage the (substantial) property.
B1/B2 WILL NOT SUFFICE. US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER ONLY PLEASE
Full-time position for a Captain to come ashore & work on a large estate property with fine gardens, estate homes, and complex systems.
Location Sunny Florida, USA a palace-like oceanfront mansion between Palm Beach and Miami.
SUMMARY A top level, best in class manager with the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of unique lifestyles and property of the clients. Your knowledge will be used to ensure that the residence, its contents, and systems are properly managed and maintained while providing outstanding personal service to the family.
Responsibilities:
Staffing: Attract, train, mentor and retain high calibre staff who will consistently deliver 5 star level service with integrity, enthusiasm and outstanding work ethics.
Vendor Contract Negotiation and Management: Research, screen, propose and oversee vendors: Compare multiple bids, ensure budget, quality and contract compliance. Assist with project/plan design and implementation.
Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and preventative maintenance. Ensure quality issues are identified, reported and resolved efficiently so that all aspects of the entire residence are at their absolute best.
Private PA: Travel arrangements of flights, hotels, cars, cruises and charters. Other usual PA tasks.
Qualifications: Able to manage and motivate a small team of staff: security, housekeeping, landscaping, air conditioning, pools & fountains, houseman, chef and outside vendors etc. A strong work ethic, reliable, punctual with high integrity. Able to maintain confidentiality and be ultra-discreet. Able to follow professional code of conduct at all times. Willing to go the extra mile when needed. Devoted with positive attitude and a strong commitment to service. Must be able to work as part of a team and individually. Self starter. Flexible and able to accommodate spontaneous changes to routines and plans.
Committed to health and safety of the property and its clients. Well-groomed and presentable. Empathetic and compassionate. Keen knowledge of fine building materials, equipment, appliances, and fixtures. Able to oversee all aspects of work in a meticulous manner. Organized and have attention to details. Technically savvy. Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Personable and polite, with excellent people and communicational skills. Able to work legally in the United States, with a valid US work visa/green card/citizenship, driver’s license with a clean driving record. Able to pass complete background, credit, and reference checks. Willing to take a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
