Summary

Position: 2nd Stewardess (STCW, ENG1, Min 1 Year Yachting Experience Required)

Location: Shipyard (USA) | Start Date: Within 2 weeks (flexible)

Contract: Full-time | Salary: DOE (in Euros) – Please include expectations in your cover letter

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient 2nd Stewardess to join a 44m private motor yacht currently undergoing an intensive shipyard period in the USA. This is not a couple’s position and is only open to experienced candidates with verifiable references.

About the Vessel:

Built in 2002 – she’s no spring chicken, and we won’t sugarcoat it: she needs elbow grease.

Having been docked and listed for sale for some time, the vessel is now being revived, and the interior needs just as much love as the exterior.

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves type of job. Think deep cleaning, reorganizing, stocktaking, assisting with interior refit elements, and working closely with the Chief Stew to bring the boat back to life. Dry boat (no alcohol on board), busy schedule, and a team-oriented vibe.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience on similar-sized vessels
  • Confident in both housekeeping and service, able to step up when needed
  • Strong eye for detail and initiative – someone who sees what needs doing without being asked
  • Comfortable in a high-workload environment, especially during shipyard and reactivation periods
  • Calm, positive, and motivated – able to work well under pressure with a can-do attitude
  • Not afraid to get hands-on and handle less-than-glamorous tasks with pride

This is a great opportunity for a stewardess who wants to be part of a tight-knit, driven crew bringing a classic yacht back to standard, and be involved in all the stages of that journey.

To Apply:

Please send your CV, references, and a short cover letter including your salary expectations and how you would support a yacht during a heavy maintenance and restart period.
