Summary
2ND STEW 65M PRIVATE MY
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Stew to join a busy, dual-season private 65M yacht. The vessel is currently in the Caribbean and will be crossing to Europe in late April, where the Med season will begin. Ideally, the successful candidate can join in April to get familiar with the boat and crew before the crossing. Alternatively, the vessel can wait for the candidate to join in early May in Europe.
American owners who enjoy using their yacht with friends and family. The Captains foster a close-knit, family crew dynamic, with regular crew dinners and social events to encourage collaboration and team bonding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service & Housekeeping: Rotate between service and housekeeping, with a focus on service during dinner and evening shifts.
- Housekeeping: High attention to detail is essential, as the owners are particularly focused on immaculate housekeeping and laundry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with an excellent Chief Stew who is kind, fair, and encourages a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Team Dynamics: Be part of an interior team of 5. The rest of the team rotate between service, housekeeping, and laundry.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in the yachting industry, ideally with some experience as a 2nd Stew on 50m+ yachts or in a senior position on larger vessels.
- Housekeeping: Strong housekeeping experience with a keen eye for detail is essential.
- Team Player: We’re looking for a good all-rounder who is confident in all areas of interior operations but particularly strong in housekeeping.
- Career Progression: This position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career. We are particularly interested in candidates who have shown longevity in their previous roles and are driven to build a long-term career in the yachting industry.
Package & Benefits:
- Salary: €4,750+ (negotiable for the right candidate)
- Leave: 45 days annual leave
- Start Date: April (ideally before the crossing, or early May in Europe)
