Summary

Pristine boat needs a permanent Captain. Beautiful boat, handles great, nice toys and tenders. Successful charters with future charters booked. Owner's use about 8 weeks a year, about 6 weeks of charters per year. Strong Caribbean and Bahamas knowledge. Excellent opportunity for a S. FL-based Captain. Base after each trip in Ft. Lauderdale, alternate Palm Beach or Miami.

Requirements:

• Caribbean and Bahamas experience
• Experience leading a crew of 10 or more
• References
• Excellent communicator, especially with Owner and management company
• By-the-book ISM and Safety management; transparent
• Meet reporting deadlines for monthly financials and payroll
• Overall command of crew; enforce policies and procedures
• Mentor Ch Officer, ensure reporting is correct

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Master <500gt / Class 5
• Reg II/2 CoC Master (Unlimited) / Class 1
• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
• RYA Yachtmaster Ocean

STCW Modules (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• GMDSS Restricted Operators Certificate (ROC)
• GMDSS General Operators Certificate (GOC)
• Electronic Chart Display (ECDIS)
• Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
• Basic Training for Ships Operating in Polar Waters (A-V/4)
• Proficiency in Medical First Aid (A-VI/4 1-3)
• Advanced Training for Ships Operating in Polar Waters (A-V/4)
• Proficiency in Medical Care
• Able Seafarer (Yacht/Deck) Rating Certificate II/5
• Efficient Deckhand (EDH)
• Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) (A-VI/2 1-4)
