The ideal candidate will be a dedicated assistant to an elderly couple who require support while seamlessly integrating into an established household staff. The position combines housekeeping, driving, and household management responsibilities. The successful candidate will work alongside existing staff, including a housekeeper and evening chef, while maintaining their distinct responsibilities.
Primary responsibilities include providing companionship and assistance to the couple, driving to various appointments and engagements, organizing household spaces, and managing cleaning/detailing duties. The role will also require to accompany the primary to events and be able to navigate within the city.
The position involves travel between the family's three residences: their primary home in New York, winter residence in Florida (approximately three months), and summer residence in Aspen (approximately two weeks). The candidate must be comfortable with this travel arrangement and able to maintain a supportive role across all locations.
The family have a love for animals, whilst they will not be your responsibility you must be happy around dogs and horses. This role would suit someone happy to make a long-term commitment to the family and join an already established team of staff in the property.
The ideal candidate will be kind, discrete, and capable of working independently while showing appropriate initiative. The family has a beloved canine companion, so the candidate must be comfortable with dogs.
