Summary
We are seeking an experienced Laundry Steward(ess) to join our interior team aboard a 60m+ privately operated vessel. This role requires expert knowledge of textile care, wardrobe management, and chemical products to uphold the highest standard onboard.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and care for all linens, uniforms, and guest clothing.
- Organize and manage wardrobes, ensuring garments are cleaned, pressed, and stored properly.
- Operate laundry equipment and handle chemicals with precision to ensure delicate fabrics are cared for correctly.
- Collaborate closely with the interior team to support guest services and ensure all interior areas are consistently maintained to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a professional laundry system, either aboard a yacht or in a high-standard private household.
- Strong knowledge of textile care and appropriate use of chemical products.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
- Must be an efficient, strong independent thinker, capable of handling tasks with minimal supervision.
- B1/B2 Visa and document validiy of at least 6 months
Team Structure:
- The yacht operates with a crew of 15, including a dedicated interior team of 5.
- Two highly experienced Chief Stewardesses lead and guide the interior team, ensuring the highest service standards are maintained.
Location & Start Date:
The position's start date is flexible, but we are looking to employ by the first week of May in south Florida.
Cruising Itinerary
Our summer itinerary incldues the West Coast of the USA, Canada, Mexico and Central America with winter plans TBC.
Benefits:
- 45 days annual leave with 1 return flight, increasing after 12 months of service.
- Annual bonus equivalent to one month's salary.
- Salary negotiable based on experience.
