Role Overview:
We are seeking for a highly skilled, professional, and truly organized Head Chef with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences in various areas of the globe. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure and is resourceful with limited provisioning. He/she understands the demands of discreet, high-level hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
• The candidate does not think he/she is a DIVA
• He/she goes along well with his fellow crew members
• Create and execute diverse, high-end menus tailored to guest’s preferences and dietary requirements
• Capable of following an established menu
• Manage provisioning, stock rotation, and inventory planning for extended periods without resupply
• Maintain impeccable hygiène standards and galley organization
• Lead a small galley team (Sous Chef)), including training and daily operations
• Adapt creatively to local ingredients and unexpected changes in plan or supply
• Coordinate with the Captain for guest schedules and logistics
Requirements:
• The candidate must has followed a professional culinary school and is graduated from his studies.
• The candidate is used to sea motion and long ocean passages.
• The candidate is also to cook for the crew
• Strong background in international fine dining, with a flexible and adventurous culinary style
• Expérience provisioning for long trips in remote areas (preferred)
• Work with professional equipments
• Ability to manage a galley with efficiency, safety, and cleanliness at sea
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• STCW and Food Safety Level 3 required
• Ship Cook Certificate
• Seaman,s Record Book
• ENG 1
• Calm, confident, discreet, and highly organized (food stores are inventoried every week)
• Trully non-smoker (will be tested)
• No visible tatoo
