Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief engineer for a 50m yacht
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a newly built 50m private vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.
Requirements
· Y2 or equivalent
· Schengen visa if applicable essential and b1b2 visa ideal
· Proven experience in a similar role on yachts
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Happy to assist on deck when necessary
· IDEA knowledge beneficial
· AVIT/ETO knowledge a plus
Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
· Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
· Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
· Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
· Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols
Start date: May-June
Location: Italy
Salary: DOE
Leave: 2:2 rotation
Shared Cabin
Private vessel-Mediterranean season until November, then possibly the Caribbean.
