Summary
We are looking for an experienced and confident Crew/Third Chef to join an incredible 90m motor yacht around the beginning of May in Spain. You’ll be joining a strong, professional galley team, including excellent Head Chefs and two Second Chefs who rotate. The yacht has a great reputation for promoting from within, and with a new build launching later this year, the role will transition into a 2:2 rotation at that point.
The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running and be comfortable cooking for 28 crew members right away. While guidance will be provided on how the galley operates, this is not a training position — the chef must be confident, proactive, and ready to jump in. Your primary responsibility will be preparing crew meals and supporting the two senior chefs. There is a strong and supportive culture in the galley, and you'll be encouraged to get involved with guest food preparation as well. When there are no guests on board, all chefs contribute to crew food together.
General cleaning, store organization, menu planning, stock control, creativity, and a genuine love for cooking top-quality meals for the crew are all essential to this role. The yacht carries 27 crew and typically hosts between 10 and 14 guests per trip. It’s a busy vessel that moves frequently, but with solid plans generally known six months or more in advance. The summer itinerary includes a yard period in Barcelona, followed by cruising in the Med and trips to Denmark.
The position offers a competitive salary of $5,000 USD per month and starts with a 4:2 rotation, moving to a 2:2 rotation later in the year. There is also an excellent onboard training package with opportunities to pursue culinary-related courses.
