Chief Officer/1st Mate

Summary

• 40m Private motor yacht are seeking a Chief mate to join them ASAP – flexibility with start dates for the right candidate

• Fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step up into their first mates role with a solid program with extensive cruising in Asia working alongside good Captains and an extremely nice owner

• They are looking for a min of OOW 3000 or CM 3000 along with a solid deck background. This could be someone coming from a similar mates role or someone looking to step up from Bosun and recently qualified with OOW

• Must have good watch keeping and navigational experience as you will be trusted with watches and manoeuvring the yacht

• They are looking for a candidate that will drive the deck team, lead by example and also work to high standards allowing the deck team to upskill and grow!

• Interesting cruising itinerary including SE Asia, Bali, Philippines, Hong Kong and Thailand – The boat moves a lot and is fairly busy. Used by the owner, their family and friends for trips. They also run an extensive watersports program along with diving operations

• Excellent longevity within the deck team with everyone onboard completing 2+ years so far

• They are looking for someone who will comfortably balance their time between bridge and deck operations

• On offer is a good package including a salary of 6500 Euros DOE and ticket held, 3:1 rotation and a generous bonus structure based off performance – full package TBD 

Essential Qualifications

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
