Deckhand/Mate in Virgin Islands (British)

MATE REQUIRED FOR THIS 30M+ PRIVATE MOTOR YACHT IN THE CARIBBEAN

Start date: April 2025 – permanent position

Itinerary: Caribbean till June then US

We are looking for an experienced Mate for this 30m+ MY; Candidates applying must have/desire longevity and be looking for at least a year’s commitment. The ideal candidate is a deckhand with a brand-new license in hand. Someone that welcomes overseeing the deck on their own, but obviously needs some direction from the captain. The yacht runs with a permanent crew of four; captain, Mate, Engineer and stew/cook and an extra chef when guest on. It has a small tender in the garage and not a lot of toys. REQUIREMENTS

· YM Offshore 200

· STCW95

· ENG1

· B1/B2 in hand

· 1-2 years experience in a similar role

PACKAGE

· Salary: +$5000 DOE

· Leave: 38 days

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
