Summary
Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Second Steward(ess) for a 50m New Build Charter Yacht
Start Date: Around May 11th (exact date to be confirmed)
Salary: USD $5,000 per month
Leave: 3:1 rotation
Qualifications:
- Current STCW, ENG1, and other standard certifications.
- Additional training in wine or cocktail service, floral arrangements, or butler courses is a bonus.
- Valid B1/B2 and Schengen visas required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar role (2–4 years preferred).
- Proven longevity in previous roles.
- Strong in service, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Confident in guest-facing tasks.
- Skilled in wine and cocktail service.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and a positive, kind personality.
- Open to change, with a good work ethic.
- No visible tattoos and non-smoker.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Portuguese language skills.
- Musical talent (singer or musician).
- Art or design background (great for table scaping).
Other:
- Vessel Itinerary: Dual-season operation in the Mediterranean and Caribbean/States.
- Primarily private use with a few charters per season.
- Service styles include family-style, and synchronized service for owners.
- Interior team structure rotates between:
- Chief Stew, two Second Stews, and one Junior Stewardess.
- Chief Stew, one Second Stew, and two Junior Stewardesses.
