Summary

Seasonal Chief Engineer opportunity aboard 55 m+ Private M/Y – Pacific Cruising  

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Chief Engineer to join for cruising the South Pacific Islands and NE Australia!

** Priority will be given to candidates who are currently in Australia/New Zealand**

Start Date: Beginning of May  – for approximately 3 months (with potential to become permanent)

Itinerary: N/E Queensland – South Pacific Islands

Package: Competitive Salary paid in AUD, inclusive of leave

** ONLY Australian Citizens or those with the legal rights to work in Australia will be eligible **

Experience/Skills required:

·      Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chief on a similar sized yacht

·      Excellent trouble shooting and fault finding skills essential

·      Experience with Caterpillar Engines would be advantageous

·      Must be a hands on and proactive engineer who is knowledgeable in all engineering and maintenance duties aboard

·      Possess the ability to delegate to a 2^nd Engineer with a diplomatic and motivational approach

·      Professional appearance

Qualifications required:

·      STCW Y2 III/2 CoC – OR AMSA Engineer Class 3

·      STCW (fully updated) with PDSD

·      Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with min 6 months’ validity)
