Summary
Position: Chief Stewardess (STCW, ENG1, Min 5 Years Yachting Experience Required)
Location: Shipyard (USA) | Start Date: Within 2 weeks (flexible)
Contract: Full-time | Salary: DOE (in Euros) – Please include expectations in your cover letter
We are looking for a capable, hands-on Chief Stewardess to lead the interior team on a 45m private motor yacht currently in an intensive shipyard period in the USA. This is not a couple’s position.
About the Vessel:
Launched in 2002, she’s a proven platform with great potential — now undergoing class work. The vessel is a dry boat (no alcohol onboard), with a crew that prioritizes fitness, clean living, and professionalism.
The Role:
You’ll be leading from the front — not from behind a laptop. This position suits someone who thrives in active environments, takes initiative, and can handle the challenges of a vessel reactivation project.
Responsibilities include:
- Full reorganization and implementation of interior systems
- Setting up SOPs for service, housekeeping, and laundry
- Hands-on leadership of the 2nd and 3rd Stewardess
- Daily support with deep cleaning, stocktaking, and crew mess duties
- Liaising with the Captain, project managers, and contractors during the refit
- Budget and account management (experience with Voly and Pinpoint is a plus)
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a stewardess with leadership exposure
- Previous shipyard, new build, or restart project experience preferred
- Must hold a valid B1/B2 visa and be confident driving a car (local errands, provisioning, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to create order from chaos, set up new systems, and motivate a small team
- Positive, fitness-minded, and team-oriented — ready to get stuck in
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a project and establish a high-standard, well-run interior department from the ground up. You'll be part of a supportive, health-focused crew bringing a classic yacht back to life.
