Job Vacancy: 1st Officer – 40m New Build Motor Yacht (Private & Charter)
Cruising Areas: Mediterranean (Summer) / Bahamas & Caribbean (Winter)

Start Date: ASAP (prior to final outfitting & delivery)
A newly built 40m private and charter motor yacht is looking for a dynamic and experienced 1st Officer to join the team ahead of delivery. This is a rare opportunity to step in at the early stage of the yacht’s operations and work closely with the Captain to set high standards of seamanship, safety, and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the final outfitting, sea trials, and delivery preparation
- Bridge management, passage planning, and safe navigation
- Supervision of deck operations, watersports activities, and maintenance
- ISM/ISPS duties, safety drills, and crew training
- Oversee mooring, anchoring, and tender handling
- Support guest service during private and charter trips
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- OOW 3000GT (minimum)
- Experience as 1st Officer or Bosun on 35m–50m yachts, ideally with dual private/charter experience
- Strong deck leadership, navigational, and safety management skills
- Comfortable leading a small team and assisting across departments when needed
- Confident with bridge tech, ISM procedures, and charter preparation
- Professional, discreet, and motivated with a hands-on attitude
